Camon's Crew:REEN. "The surest way to stay alive in the underworld was to make yourself indispensible." Vin's older half-brother. Physically and emotionally abusive, he taught Vin to survive in the streets and trust no one, constantly moving in an effort to keep them both away from Inquisitors, who would have destroyed Vin as a possible Mistborn had they known of her existence. He also saved her from her mother's attempt on her life and did not give her existence away to the Ministry of Inquisition, despite prolonged torture. He was later impersonated by the god Ruin in an effort to sway Vin to fulfill its desires, first as a "subconscious" voice and later with an imitation of Reen's physical form.
CAMON. The arrogant leader of the crew that Vin and Reen ran with in Luthadel. After Reen vanished, Camon used Vin's Soothing (which she called Luck) to bring himself success and pay off Reen's alleged debt to him. When she was uncooperative, he beat her and threatened to sell her to a whorehouse. He was later deposed by Kelsier and killed by Inquisitors.
ULEF. A crewmember who was relatively kind to Vin and whom she considered not to be an enemy (although also not a friend). He then sold her out to Camon when she sensed danger and wanted to escape. Later, Inquisitors slaughtered him.
MILEV. Camon's successor, leader of the crew, before he was also slaughtered by Inquisitors. (Oops.)
Kelsier's Crew:KELSIER.
MARSH.
SAZED. "The right belief is like a good cloak, I think. If it fits you well, it keeps you warm and safe. The wrong fit, however, can suffocate."
House Venture:ELEND. Got the booty.
ZANE. Dead.
STRAFF. Super dead.
Powers, Gods, & Other Big-Deal Losers:LORD RULER.
RUIN.
PRESERVATION.
HARMONY. See Sazed.

Skaa:"All skaa . . . belogned to the Lord Ruler; he only leased the workers from his God.
Nobility:"Nobility wasn't just about money. It was about lineage and history; the Lord Ruler was immortal, and he apparently still remembered the men who had supported him during the early years of his reign. The descendents of these men, no matter how poor they became, would always be favored."
Steel Ministry:" . . . not just the force of bureaucracy and legal authority in the Final Empire - it was like a noble house unto itself. The more wealth it had, the better its own mercantile contracts, the more leverage the various Ministry Cantons had with each other - and with the noble houses.
